This summer 8 of our best friends joined Anders and me as we toured Scandinavia. Copenhagen was our first stop - join along in my tour through the world-famous flower market in Copenhagen, Denmark.
All my favorite hues from blue to lavender and dark purple. The quality of the flowers at this market was incredible.
Dahlias to die for…
The fragrance of the fresh lavender was intoxicating.
Big pots of lavender – why can’t I find this in Oklahoma City???
Hydrangeas in pots – they look like they were plucked from a garden.
White gerberas were perfection.
More purple hues – the fresh cut lavender- I wished I could have taken it all and put in my suitcase!
Lots of beautiful wooden lanterns and accessories and huge pots of geraniums in the palest pink you have ever seen.
These pots looked like my favorite Guy Wolf variety – but with instant patina and lots of moss.
Big pots of artichokes – why bother growing them yourself!
The quality of the staghorn ferns and succulents was as good as I
have ever seen.
Platycodon – or balloon flower – the flower heads were the largest I have ever seen.
Wish we had access to this stuff – it was gorgeous!
It is always invigorating and inspiring to go to new places in the world. Flowers and garden elements are a constant wherever you go in the world….and yes some parts of our world have more to see … the flower market in Copenhagen was a treat. Our group got up early that morning in order to see everything before it was gone….even the non-gardeners got into this trip!
